Canvas Free for Teachers - when will it be back online?

Hello, I am currently using a Canvas Free-for-Teacher course to run a clinical trial for a parent training intervention. As of May 12, Canvas Free-for-Teacher is still unavailable, and I have been unable to reach anyone from the Instructure support team for updates or an estimated timeline for when access to Canvas Free for Teachers will be restored.

Has anyone received additional information or found an alternative way to contact support?

Hi there @HMed724 ,

This is obviously a known issue and isn't worth contacting support about, as they are actively working on this situation. @talway provided a link to a page where updates can be viewed (it will be towards the bottom of the linked page). I recommend using that document for updates, however right now free for teacher is still unavailable as they continue working to implement security patches in FFT, as FFT had a big part in the recent incident. There is no given time when FFT will be available at this time.

We know some of you noticed the maintenance page briefly come down today. I want you to know we are actively working to find a safe path to bring Free for Teacher back online in a way that protects the broader Community experience.

That said, while the maintenance page was temporarily removed, login functionality was not available.

We know many of you are eager for updates, and we’re working to share a formal announcement as soon as possible.
