Canvas Lite is now available! If you have course content in Free-for-Teacher, now's the time to export it. Access closes for good at 11:59 p.m. MT on October 6. Learn more.
How do we find the link to the OLD content?
I found the link to the old Canvas Instructure https://pc.instructure.com/login/canvas
Unfortunately my user name and password don't work and I can't reset the password to access my content and export it before Oct. 6.
Can anyone help me figure out how to access this?
Hi @DonnaHoefner26282285 ,
Support is super duper limited with FFT given it's technically discontinued. If you forgot your password, you can reset it by entering your email. Just make sure you double click two times fast the Next button after entering your email. For some reason, double clicking is required for the email to be sent to your inbox, it's always been weird like that.
Aside from that, I'm unsure if anything else can be done. I'm sorry this isn't exactly the news you wanted to hear.
Best of luck, Noah
Thanks for replying.
The sad thing is that I did my due diligence and exported all my canvas shells before it shut down. However, I didn't know about the limit, so I'm stuck and can't import several that are beyond the limit. I can't access my old content either. Very disappointing.
Regarding the reset for Old Canvas Instructure. I don't see a NEXT button. I just want to make sure that I'm in the right place.
Thank your for your help.
@DonnaHoefner26282285 , can you send the URL of the login page you got that screenshot from? The canvas.instructure.com login page does not look like that anymore.
@DonnaHoefner26282285 , nevermind, I just clicked on your link and opened the login page. That is not the old Free for Teacher Canvas instance, the old Free for Teacher instance's url is canvas.instructure.com. The URL you provided is a specific institution's URL, so if that was where your course was located before and you can no longer login, it's likely your access to your former school's instance was removed and you can no longer access your course content.
However, if you still do have access but need to reset your password, you can do so by double clicking the request password button that is present in your screenshot, and then you should receive the email to your inbox. However, if you still aren't receiving the email, it's possible your account was deleted if you left the institution.
I hope that helps! Noah
Hello, I can not access my Free-For-Teachers page or export courses. Can anyone help please?
I'm not sure what this error message means to best decide how to address it. Searching gave no other examples of this issue. Can anyone explain?
To the Canvas Lite Team, I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the maximum course participant limit in the new Canvas Lite, particularly the restriction that appears to allow only 50 users to join a single course. I am an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Tanzania, teaching Civil…
I imported quizes from a paid Canvas account to my Free Canvas for Teachers account. When I try to edit the quiz in the imported course, it says the questions are in groups. It shows on the quiz page there are 25 questions, but when I edit and open to Questions it shows groups with NO questions in them. How do I get the…
Has anyone noticed that the feedback sidebar window has gone to larger spacing? Does anyone know if there is a way to change it back? Not a major deal just a bit annoying is all. Thanks.
