Hide Self-paced Label
Subaccount Configuration | Yes |
|---|
Account Setting to Enable | Hide Self-paced Label |
Affects User Interface | Yes |
Summary
The Hide Self-paced Label account setting removes the Self-paced label across every learner-facing surface in Catalog. Previously, the setting hid the label only on the Storefront Listings and Details page.
Affected areas include:
- Enrollment page
- Cart and checkout
- Enrollment confirmation page
- Student Dashboard
- Purchases and Enrollments pages
- Enrollment-related emails
Notes:
- The same behavior applies to mobile layouts.
- Admins can apply the setting at the subcatalog level if specific subcatalogs require the label hidden while the root catalog keeps it visible.
Change Benefit
- Consistent Enrollment Experience: Provides learners with a cohesive experience from initial browsing through final enrollment for instructor-led or scheduled offerings.
- Eliminate Custom Workarounds: Removes the need for admins to implement custom CSS workarounds to hide the Self-Paced label.
- Reduced Support Volume: Decreases the volume of support tickets caused by confusing label inconsistencies.
Feature Workflow
In Catalog admin settings, click the Hide Self-paced Label drop-down menu [1] and select the Yes option [2]. To apply the changes, click the Save button [3].
Note: When the Hide Self-paced Label setting is enabled, learners no longer see the Self-paced label anywhere in the learner experience for affected listings. Enrollment behavior and course pacing do not change.
