This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 5/8/2026.
Summary:
The HTML Editor button has been temporarily disabled within the Rich Content Editor (RCE) as a precautionary measure. This was a deliberate adjustment to ensure platform stability.
Note:
- This change does not affect New Quizzes; the HTML editor remains fully functional and available in that environment.
Expected Behavior:
It is expected that the HTML Editor button would be seen and available for use within the RCE.
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to an assignment/page/discussion edit page.
- Notice that the HTML Editor button </> is missing.
