Summary:
When a student's grade is assigned to a muted assignment, if the corresponding observer has configured alerts to notify them of grade drops below a specified threshold, the alert exposes grading details typically concealed within the course.
Expected behavior:
When muted assignments are in place, alerts should refrain from disclosing any grading details while they remain concealed within the course. Alerts should only be triggered upon the instructor's posting or availability of grades.
OS and APP version:
Parent App version 3.9.2
iOS 17.3.1
Steps to Reproduce:
{{Prerequisites: An active course, an enrolled student, a parent observer linked to the student, and an assignment with a manual posting policy. }}
- Access the Parent app and log in. From the user menu, select {{Manage Students}}, then choose the student's name.
- Enter a value for the {{Course grade below}} field specifying a threshold (e.g., 100).
- Assign a grade to the student for the assignment, ensuring it causes the total grade to fall below the threshold set in the parent's alerts.
- Navigate to the {{Alerts}} tab at the bottom of the Parent app.
- Observe the alert for the student indicating that the grade is below the configured threshold, revealing the entered (hidden) score.
