Wildcard Email Domain Support
Summary
Email domain configuration supports wildcard patterns using the asterisk symbol. This allows a single entry to represent all subdomains associated with a specific base domain.
Change Benefit
Wildcard support eliminates the need to manually list every individual subdomain, reducing administrative overhead and preventing errors. This ensures that users from any sub-level of an organization receive appropriate permissions or discounts automatically.
Workflow
In Catalog settings, navigate to the Catalog Info page and locate the Email Domain Restrictions for Registration and Enrollment section [1].
In the Email Domains field [2], enter the wildcard pattern using the format *.domain.com (e.g., *.harvard.edu).
When finished, save the configuration to apply the rule to all matching subdomains.
