I am trying to understand the badge requirements for the "Course Grade" Course Item for the "Complete Item" and "Percentage Score" Trigger Type. I want to award a badge to all students who have scored at least a certain percentage (~90-95%) on every Quiz in the course for a fully asynchronous professional development workshop.
For the Percentage Score option, will this badge be awarded only after every assignment is submitted? For example, if a student completes Quiz 1 with a 100%, and never complete another quiz, they will have a 100% in the course until they attempt the rest of the quizzes. I want to ensure they have completed all quizzes, but do not have due dates set in the course because it is a continuous enrollment asynch workshop. I was thinking my best best was using Module Requirements and setting badge trigger that way.
For the Complete Item Trigger Type under Course Grade option, does this mean that every module requirement in the course has been completed for the badge award to trigger? For example, I have 4 modules with 4 quizzes and was planning on making each module requirement a 'score at least' on the quiz only. It is not clear what the Complete Item Trigger entails, and I couldn't find in any documentation. I understand that if I add the Trigger Type as Complete Item under a specific module, it will trigger when that module is 'complete.' So, I would assume the same is true of the Course Grade option.
My fail-safe is to add Module Requirements AND Prerequisites so that students can only open a module once they score a certain percentage, but I would love to keep the whole course open for them to explore the resources provided without needing to complete the quizzes.
