Dear Canvas Support Team,
I would like to report a critical issue related to copying or importing course content in Canvas.
When attempting to copy any course content using “Copy to” or by importing content into another course, including but not limited to:
- Quizzes
- Assignments
- Modules
- Any other course-supported content
the system initially displays the message:
“Copy operation started successfully.”
However, when checking Import Course Content, the process status changes to Failed, and the following error message appears:
“There was an unexpected error, please contact support.”
Please note that this issue is not limited to my account only. The same problem has been reported by multiple teachers across different roles, which strongly indicates that this may be a system-wide issue rather than a user-specific or permission-related problem.
We kindly request that you review this issue as a matter of urgency and advise on the cause of the problem. Additionally, please inform us of any required actions if the issue is related to specific settings, permissions, or configurations on our side.
