Videos Are not functioning for Students

I am teaching in Week 7 anf have uploaded all 10 weeks of pre-recorded lectures. They have been working fine. Now the videos do not function. They still work fine in my pc folders but even when I upload them again, they do not work. Even the prior weeks are not working any more. What is going on? I have a school in session and need a fix asap. Thank you adavance.

Hello DrJ428!

Canvas was having issues with their videos Tuesday according to their Status page. The issue was widespread as we were having issues with videos not playing, too.

I am not sure what happened, all courses had the videos but no one could watch them. Even when I deleted the page and started over. All videos have been uploaded since early October and worked fine until last night.

However, I checked before bed, and again this morning and everything is working again. I am not sure what happened, but it might have been a Canvas issue. I don't know for sure, but its odd that students were contact me and we all had the same issue, when I let them know it was working again, they could access them again.
