Cannot log into Canvas Free for Teachers - November 4 2025

While working in my course, I suddenly received this message"

The link does not work. I logged out and tried to get back into the Canvas Free for Teachers account and received the same message.

Any suggestions? (I am in a bit of a panic, as I cannot access any of my courses....)

For official status reports from Instructure, you should check out status.instructure.com versus other websites such as DownDetector, as that's not managed by Instructure.

There was a past incident where users had issues logging into Canvas, however it should be fixed by now. If you still experience issues logging into Canvas, please come back and let us know!

Same here. Not using the free version either, this is a paid for subscription. It is down.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. I have tried Chrome and Safari, changed my wifi network and tried again. Rebooted my machine and the browsers. Deleted all instructure and canvas cookies.

Nothing...just the same error message and dead link.

I am on the free version, and in the US. Again, have rebooted computer, rebooted two separate browsers, deleted cookies and even switched wifi network. Nada. Same error message, same dead link, and while the navigation side pane and upper nav text links are there, none work.
