How to edit an end user's custom user-defined field UDF

We use several custom UDF's to obtain relevant information from our students. However, if a student makes a mistake when completing a UDF, let's say it's a license number, there doesn't appear to be a way for either the student or subcatalog admin to fix it.

Is there such a way?
