Is there some way that Skyward could be integrated better into Canvas?

My school uses that for official grades, and I know that Canvas can send assignments to Skyward, is it possible for Skyward to send back grades?

I love Canvas' grade calculator but unfortunately because Skyward is "the most accurate reflection of a student's grade" according to my school, how can Skyward be better used with Canvas for more accurate grades for students?

Late Canvas assignments not being marked late when synced to Skyward
When a student turns in a late assignment, I need it to also show as late in Skyward. Having to go in and manually mark multiple assignments late for 130 students is tedious and time consuming. If Canvas recognizes the assignment as late, the same mark needs to be sent to Skyward when it is synced.
