I meant to access the free version where the course I am taking is located. I have no idea what I was charged when I opted to get the app on the App Store but I want to return the app and log in to the free version where my course is located

Are you referring to the Canvas Student and/or the Canvas Teacher app available in the iOS or Android store? If so, those apps are free downloads...no charge whatsoever. Are you wanting to log in to the Free For Teacher (FFT) version of Canvas? If so, in either of the apps, when you initially sign in, you should log in to https://canvas.instructure.com ... as this is the URL you'd use if your school does not have a paid Canvas environment ... in which case your Canvas URL would look similar to https://SchoolName.instructure.com where SchoolName is the name of your school. You should be able to log into your FFT account using either the Canvas Student or the Canvas Teacher app...depending on your role (if you are a student or a teacher).
