Assignment Categories: Instructor

I don't see where I can import the different assignment categories into Canvas from Powerschool.  Last year, I was able to import the groups (classwork, homework, quiz, test, etc.) from my Powerschool so that when I give the students an assignment, I could differentiate what kind of assignment it was.  Then, I could grade the assignments in canvas and they would sync to my Powerschool. Any idea how to import the assignment categories?

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community to discuss your question regarding importing your assignment categories into Canvas. Once the term has started, you should be able to navigate to your course assignments tab and find the sync SIS categories tool . For more detailed instructions :  How do I sync my Canvas assignment groups to my Po... - Instructure Community  . The process has changed since the last time you may have imported the categories from PowerSchool. So, it will look a little different this time. You will want to create the assignment groups in Canvas and name then exactly as you see them in PowerSchool and then you can associate the Canvas assignment groups to the PowerSchool assignment categories.
