Help! Logging in to Canvas only works with Microsoft single sign on

Hello. I created a free account for training courses with my company. The issue is with the login. It will only allow you to login using the Microsoft single sign on. I cannot just go to the Canvas login page and type in the username and password. When I do that I get an error message. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I would like to just login from the regular login page.

Thank you for contacting the Instructure Community. Did you use an email that is connected to an institution or account that  is already registered with Canvas? If so, you may want to consider making a FFT account  using a different email. Either way, you should be able to reset your password following this guide:

If that still doesn't work, you can contact Canvas Support to reset it for you.
