I am wanting to use canvas. I'm finding it very unfriendly; I have my own driver training business and want to learn the system so i can implement my courses through this platform. I'm not part of a big school or institution... does that mean my business is not important enough for canvas?

Hello @RebekkaMalster ...

Have you considered trying the Free For Teachers version of Canvas?  This is where I would recommend that you start if your business/school does not have a paid version of Canvas.  [You can compare the differences between FFT and a paid Canvas environment by going to this page and clicking on the linked PDF comparison document Canvas Free-for-Teacher FAQ (canvaslms.com)].

There are two other great resources I would like to point you to:

• Set Up Your Canvas Course in 30 minutes or Less -- These are a set of short video tutorials that will teach you the basics of how to quickly set up your course in Canvas.  These are published by Instructure (the folks that make Canvas).
• I also highly recommend the video tutorials on YouTube by Ashlee Espinosa.  Her videos take you step-by-step through many of the features of Canvas and how they all work.  There may be a few little things here and there that have changed in Canvas since she first recorded these videos, but for the most part, you'll be able to follow along with her.  Here is a link to her complete playlist: Canvas LMS Tutorials for Online Teaching - YouTube.
