I love Canvas and use it at one school where I teach but now have a new Canvas account for a new school. The new account has a red vertical bar on the left side; how can I customize that color? Thanks.

I know this thread is a few years old, however I wanted to share some information for users who are still searching for this answer.
Changing the color of the global navigation menu (the red vertical bar you're referencing) requires administrative permissions which are unavailable in FFT. While this could potentially be changed for a specific user through an extension, you cannot actually change the color of this bar.
