Adding UDF's to a certificate

Hi all. Our first set of Catalog courses offer CE credits to licensed professionals. The department has asked if a user's license number can be added to the certificate. We capture license number as an additional User Defined Field (UDF), but I haven't been able to find a way to add this to the certificate. Has anyone added UDFs (or any custom field) to the certificate successfully?

When we previously used UDF but at that time there was not a way to accomplish this.
