Retrieve parent-course-id when current course-id is provided

I'm searching for a API to retrieve parent-course-id when current course-id is provided (from a course copy scenario) . I looked in to "https://canvas.instructure.com/doc/api/" but was unable to find any that would help me. (Existing configurations should not be changed) Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance
