Is there a way Canvas can automatically sync SIS information and Courses from PowerSchool?
Hello michaeleverett...
Our school doesn't use PowerSchool, so I won't be able to directly answer your question. However, I wanted to let you know that I am going to share your question with the https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/grade-pass-back group here in the Canvas Community...as this is where a lot of PowerSchool discussions take place. Hopefully, by sharing your question with this group, it will get some additional exposure. If you are not yet following this group here in the Community, you can click on the link that I have provided and then click on the "Follow" button at the top right corner of the page. Good luck!
Hi michaeleverett,
We import SIS info from PowerSchool to Canvas, including all Courses and student enrollment.
With the PowerTeacher Pro update, the api is being updated right now so the sync is on pause.
The PowerSchool SIS Sync and Grade Passback is our #1 favorite aspect of Canvas. (Speedgrader is a close #2)
Is there a way when Canvas syncs each night with PowerSchool it only syncs the numerical grade and not the submission of 'late, with a red box." I remove them in Power School, but each day they appear, I have tried / checked it twice.
Is there ANY way to automate/force Canvas to sync ungraded assignments with Veracross SIS? right now our only solution is to require teachers to enter a fake grade, sync, and then remove it. I am willing to entertain 3rd party solutions if there is one available.
Hello, Is anyone doing a grade sync from Canvas to Jenzabar? Thanks!
When a student turns in a late assignment, I need it to also show as late in Skyward. Having to go in and manually mark multiple assignments late for 130 students is tedious and time consuming. If Canvas recognizes the assignment as late, the same mark needs to be sent to Skyward when it is synced.
How do I add a student to an existing benchmark assessment tracker? The students were imported from our SIS when tracker was created and this student has recently enrolled.
My school has traditionally used a script to send files for SIS import, and sends CSV files for users, enrollments, courses, etc. I want to transition this import to use full batch imports for each term. I saw the full batch import script below for Powershell, but we use Linux servers. Does anyone have a version they would…
