I don't know exactly where to post this but…I want to report serious usability problems regarding Canvas Discussions. Specifically, there is too much code overhead - probably, Javascript functionality - such that longer class discussion pages become TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE TO THE KEYBOARD! I am experiencing this during the past month, since my course began. I'm running the latest version of the Chrome browser. It is not an issue involving either my browser or computer as the "unresponsive page" behavior is something I experience ONLY on Canvas Discussions pages - the more content, the worse. As instructor, I need often to use the search window on Discussions pages to find a particular student's posts. I enter text…then may wait up to 20 seconds or more for Canvas to respond! Mouse and cursor movements and clicks all seriously delayed, because of some real-time code activity going on that…REALLY NEEDS TO BE FIXED!
