Give your students the clarity and grade-planning tools they need
We’re constantly working to build a more intuitive, modern experience across our Canvas mobile apps. In response to your feedback and of consistent requests from the Canvas Community, we’re thrilled to finally bring this highly anticipated capability to iOS.
Starting August 03, What-if grade calculations will be generally available on iOS, bringing full feature parity to the Grades capability Android and web. (Android version was released earlier).
Why this matters
What-if calculations empower students to move from reactive grading to proactive academic planning. By exploring different scenarios, students can better understand how to align their effort with their personal academic goals, prioritize their workload across multiple courses, and take ownership of their learning journey throughout the term.
What’s included
iOS Updates
- What-if grade calculations: Students on iOS can now calculate hypothetical grades directly within the app to see how upcoming assignments impact their overall score.
- Extended assignment filters: Quickly triage your coursework by status—such as Not Yet Submitted, To Be Graded, and Graded—so you can focus on exactly what needs your attention right now.
- Filter by search: Quick search: When you need to find an assignment in a high-pressure moment, use the new free-text search to jump straight to the item you’re looking for.
