We would like to create a custom certificate rather than use the provided certificates so that we can match other things we are doing. I have seen online that it is possible but we're trying to find out where it is. Please help!!
I'm not referring to the canvas certificates of completion for a catalog course. I'm referring to the certificates that can be printed from the Parchment Badges.
Hi @mike_sarles,
While I wouldn't consider myself an expert with Parchment Digital Badges, we do have a subscription which allows me to access all of the settings. I looked around everywhere, and I did find that certificate templates can be selected at the issuer level, but I didn't see a totally custom option, just some premade templates to choose from. The How do I Print Certificates in Parchment Digital Badges? - Instructure Community guide seems to cover this a bit. There is a blurb in that area that states "Please be aware that if you are using your own organization's theme for custom certificates, the final colors will be adjusted solely on the print view." I don't have access to the high-level settings though, so I'm 100% sure what theming an organization looks like.
I hope this helps at least a bit.

Thanks Chris. I have seen that. I don't have top access to our Canvas account either and I'm trying to help get details so that I can suggest what I need from those that admin our account. I noticed on this page a message that says "Need a different template? Contact your organization admin to add more options for this issuer." I don't know if that means they can just add from the existing library of certificates or if they can add certificate templates. However I have also seen this information about Badgr prior to becoming Parchment.
"Administrative Control
: The custom certificate feature is typically a
paid feature
within the Parchment/Canvas Credentials ecosystem and must be manually enabled by an administrator or instructor for specific badges."
I also found this page in the documentation about custom certificates:
Graded discussions do not appear to be eligible as badge requirements in Blackboard Ultra (only assignments, tests, or modules). Is it possible to use graded discussion forums as triggers for badge awards?
I am trying to understand the badge requirements for the "Course Grade" Course Item for the "Complete Item" and "Percentage Score" Trigger Type. I want to award a badge to all students who have scored at least a certain percentage (~90-95%) on every Quiz in the course for a fully asynchronous professional development…
https://api.badges.parchment.com/v2/users/{idOrEntityId} What type of ID should I be using to get the badges and pathway progress for a particular user? I have used all the SIS ID, or the ID as shown on the badger portal, but nothing is working. What kind of the ID does the API call accept? please give an example.
Hi everyone! We began using Badgr through Canvas in 2018. We have always used it with our primary students, specifically grades K-5 and heavily in Kindergarten. It has come to our attention that the move to Parchment will not only require us to pay for this access, but also prevents us from using it with our K-5 students…
