As the Canvas admin, I received this from a faculty member.

I have two specific questions/concerns.
First I have a specific concern related to the “Block Content Editor Alt Text Generator”. According to the “nutrition facts” Content Editor Images are given to the model and also stored for debugging purposes for an unspecified amount of time and this cannot be turned off. I don’t want to share all my images with the model, I would like to be able to disable this.
I also want to know what “AI Settings Control” Means. The description is “The ability to turn the AI on or off within the product.” Who controls this? Is the individual faculty or IT. Is this this same answer for all the tools or can some only be disabled by IT? I would like reassurance that all tools that are able to be disabled (which to be fair is most of them) can be disabled by faculty.
Can anyone address these two concerns specifically?
