Page Access by Differentation Tag (visible to all students)

I'm using differentiation tags and they are working great for assignments and quizzes. However, if I create a page and set the access to only allow one specific differentiation tag group, the page is still visible and accessible to all students in the course. Any suggested solution here?

Hi there @ZMac1 ,

I've been noticing this too. Students that don't have any tags assigned to them can see everything, but students that do have tags assigned to them can't see content that are only assigned to tags that they don't have, as intended.

I'm going to move this over to the differentiation tags group so you can get in contact with users who have a little higher expertise in this subject. Hopefully together we can learn more about what's going on!

@ZMac1 and @NoahBoswell , I am just getting started with testing this feature in our test environment. I saw your posts so this was one of the first thing I tested. Seems to be working now, at least in Canvas test. I created one tag and assigned it to two students in the course. The remaining students were untagged. Then I assigned a page to the one and only tag. The students with that tag were able to see and open the page. The untagged students did not see the page listed in the Pages tool and were unable to access it via a direct link. So, hopefully this is working for you now as well.

Why is there the setting "Lock this setting for sub-accounts and courses" if this can't be opted out at the course level?
