Hello,
Can somebody please direct me to the section where we can take an 8hour course to earn a badge in skills please, I can't find it anywhere.
Hello @ChastityGist
Thanks for posting in the Community!I understand you are wondering about course enrollments to earn a badge and I want to help.Usually enrollments will be managed by the School or University you are attending. Some institutions offer Courses through their Course Catalog which are able to be self enrolled, and can be setup to award badges once students complete the Course. Here are some guides for finding Courses in Canvas Catalog: Enrolling in a Catalog course or program: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Catalog/How-do-I-enroll-in-a-Catalog-course-or-program-listing/ta-p/1737 Completing registration:https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Catalog/How-do-I-complete-my-registration-for-a-catalog-course-or/ta-p/1763
As far as the Certificate of Completion inside Catalog, If your course or program included a certificate, you can view and download the certificate when you have completed the course or program.https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Catalog/How-do-I-view-the-certificate-of-completion-for-a-Catalog-course/ta-p/1740
If you are wondering about enrolling in any different types of courses, we would most likely refer to the institutions registrar, or your helpdesk for enrollment services.Hope this helps!
Good evening Canvas Community,
I am by accident finding this community after searching for answers with the software. I think I have let time waste not realizing what Canvas is about and how I could use it in to my gain. How would one obtain a degree without having to go through a accredited college? Is there a way to access courses outside of the ones a student has paid for? It would be nice to explore and learn as much as possible. Does Canvas have any practice modules?
For my Canvas course, I have 9 possible badges that users may earn. These appear in the users' accounts and show earned or not earned. Then I have several other badges for External Events that users claimed via the claim link or QR code I provided. However, these external badges only show in the user's backpack. Is there a…
hi there, I'm creating a job aide for creating an account for claiming digital badges. We noticed that in your help link for creating an account, the instructions screenshots still say Badgr and not Parchment. The instructions are still the same, so no biggie. Just thought I'd mention it.
I am trying to understand the badge requirements for the "Course Grade" Course Item for the "Complete Item" and "Percentage Score" Trigger Type. I want to award a badge to all students who have scored at least a certain percentage (~90-95%) on every Quiz in the course for a fully asynchronous professional development…
https://api.badges.parchment.com/v2/users/{idOrEntityId} What type of ID should I be using to get the badges and pathway progress for a particular user? I have used all the SIS ID, or the ID as shown on the badger portal, but nothing is working. What kind of the ID does the API call accept? please give an example.
Hi everyone! We began using Badgr through Canvas in 2018. We have always used it with our primary students, specifically grades K-5 and heavily in Kindergarten. It has come to our attention that the move to Parchment will not only require us to pay for this access, but also prevents us from using it with our K-5 students…
