Hi - are there any more detailed resources for how to implement a standard rubric with a badge? I'm finding it very difficult to understand how to implement it and there's only this guide that I can find. Anyone with more detailed instructions such as how it shows up in speed grader and how to use it with a Canvas assessment? https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Credentials/Badge-assessments-and-questions/ta-p/529087
Hey @JodiDetjen!
I just came across this and you posted a while ago, so you may have an answer by now. However, I wanted to check to see how this worked out for you. I was also wondering about your statement regarding the badge having it's own rubric. Do you know if you are using the Credentials LTI 1.3? I have used rubrics connected to an assignment to award badges, but I am not familiar with adding a rubric to a badge in Canvas. I am wondering if you would be able to elaborate on this a little bit? Thanks!
For example, if I add an assignment in Canvas, I can add a rubric and I can also assign the badge which has a rubric. But when I grade, only the Canvas rubric is evident, not the badge rubric. This makes no sense. I just want the badge rubric to be primary.
I am finding it hard to understand too, @JodiDetjen . What is an assessment tree? Can more than one assessment be used in this tree? Is the rubric not tied to Canvas rubrics, instead something that stands alone in the badge and needs to be manually filled out? I hope there will be further documentation sometime soon.
Hello, We just started with Parchment, we have used Badgr in the past. Our badge is showing up as the Canvas icon in LinkedIn rather than the actual institution created badge. Is there a setting that we are missing? We set this up with Canvas support. Thanks.
I have multiple Canvas courses to add to the requirements needed to complete a step along a pathway. Is there a way to copy a step or copy the requirements from one step to another?
Graded discussions do not appear to be eligible as badge requirements in Blackboard Ultra (only assignments, tests, or modules). Is it possible to use graded discussion forums as triggers for badge awards?
I am trying to understand the badge requirements for the "Course Grade" Course Item for the "Complete Item" and "Percentage Score" Trigger Type. I want to award a badge to all students who have scored at least a certain percentage (~90-95%) on every Quiz in the course for a fully asynchronous professional development…
https://api.badges.parchment.com/v2/users/{idOrEntityId} What type of ID should I be using to get the badges and pathway progress for a particular user? I have used all the SIS ID, or the ID as shown on the badger portal, but nothing is working. What kind of the ID does the API call accept? please give an example.
