I'm just beginning to use badges --but I'd love to use them to show completion of an ASSIGNMENT at 100% rather than a module. Is that in the works?
That feature is available using Canvas Credentials - the paid-for version of Canvas Badges. You can tie badges to individual assignments/quizzes scores or completion, as well as a course score, beyond just the module based awarding that is available with the free Badges tool.
Could you put each assignment in its own module?
I know this is not ideal, but it might be the quickest workaround.

I have used all the SIS ID, or the ID as shown on the badger portal, but nothing is working. What kind of the ID does the API call accept? please give an example.
