Grade book usage in New Analytics

Question

Hello - my institution is looking to watch grade book usage for various upcoming semesters. I have gone into new analytics, set the term and gone to the “course” section. The report I am watching is the “feature use” report.

Right now, it is showing only 4 courses with grade book utilization, but when I go into a different course within the term (not listed as the 4 identified) I always find grade book data.

I am wondering why these courses are being captured as “having grade book utilization”?

Hi @Travis_Carter, this is a good use case, thanks for sharing!

I think you're referring to the "grades" bar in the bar chart for feature utilization, right? That will show you courses where at least one student has a grade (current course score).

When you are looking at other courses with grade book data, are those courses published or concluded with activity? (The courses tab only shows data for courses that have/had activity.)
