Plagiarism Detection Platform

Question

I came across a description of this framework at https://ecpi.instructure.com/doc/api/file.plagiarism_platform.html and notice that it is implemented using LTI 2 which has been deprecated by IMS.  Is it possible to use LTI 1.3 to implement this framework for plagiarism detection systems?

@jamez, thanks for the link to the post about the deprecation of old releases of LTI.  However, I see the reference list of affected tools provided does not include the Plagiarism Framework so I still wonder if this is on their roadmap to update or, as it is only based on LTI 2, whether they just plan to continue its use as-is.  Perhaps someone from Instructure can give us the current thoughts on what is planned.

Canvas has plans to upgrade their own integrations and work with partners to upgrade integrations to LTI 1.3, but they haven't released an official plan yet as far as I know.

Does anyone know of any plans to support this framework using LTI 1.3?  Thanks.
