Can LTI launch transfer group info for students to LTI provider? If so how?
Another question, is that possible to add an LTI tool to "Group page" navigation? It seems like a small course. However, it doesn't have any settings or like that.
For your first question, apart from the usual launch information, the only other information you can get in a launch is from the LTI Variable Substitutions
There are a few variables related to groups, eg., you can get the context ids for the groups a user belongs to in a course. From a quick look, I'm guessing these might not help you, but it depends on what you are needing.
You might need your tool to be authorised to use the API to get the information you need.
