LTI: Add grade item to custom created grade column

I am having trouble with using LTI to add information to a custom column that I’ve been able to create. I can create an LTI to create and label a custom column into grades. But I’m having trouble finding the LTI to allow me to add data through the LTI into the custom column.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So what I was looking at doing was to use this LTI (POST /v1/courses/{course_id}/custom_gradebook_columns) to create a custom column called Military. What we were looking at doing was to create a private location that we could identify military students in our courses so that our instructors would have a single location to see if any of their students were in the military (so they could allow for any extension needed on assignments). After creating the column I was trying to use (PUT /v1/courses/{course_id}/custom_gradebook_columns/{id}/data/{user_id}) to enter a mark in the gradebook that this was a Military student. What I was doing wrong was that I was not using an integer as the user id. I was adding something else. One I was shown by one of my staff I was using the wrong item, it was then working.

We are now looking at how we can pull data from Banner and see if we can automate the process every term to add the Military column to the gradebook and to populate the column with a mark identifying the military student.
