Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document.

Unless otherwise stated, all features in this deploy are available in the Beta environment on 2026-06-04 and the Production environment on 2026-06-17.

Cookie Consent Banner- All Users
Summary
A cookie consent banner is displayed to Canvas users at applicable non-U.S. higher education institutions the first time they access Canvas from a new browser. The banner allows users to provide consent for analytics and tracking technologies in accordance with regional privacy requirements. This change does not apply to K–12 institutions.
Note: If a user declines consent, non-essential tracking is disabled, which may limit usage insights available to Instructure.

Privacy and consent transparency: Gives users greater visibility and control over analytics and tracking preferences while supporting compliance with regional privacy requirements.
Feature Workflow
Users can choose to accept the cookie settings by clicking the Accept button [1] or click the Cookie Settings link to manage consent preference [2].
Click the Allow All button [1] or select the desired consent preferences [2]. Then, click the Confirm My Choices button [3].
