We've just released nine new Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Shared Layouts for Canvas covering both instructor and student workflows:
The Previews of these Impact OOTB Shared Layouts follow the same approach as our Legacy Impact Campaign Templates. These layouts can be found under Existing Layouts when creating a new Guide. The previews include location suggestions for each step in the guide. Each step can contain hyperlinks to the full Community Guides, allowing users to click through directly to the detailed information regarding the topic in the guide.
Measuring guide performance and tool adoption
Additionally, if you’d like to measure guide performance and tool adoption, you can enhance your guides with tracking features after creating the guides from the layout:
- To track tool adoption you can add relevant features directly to your guide
- To evaluate the effectiveness of a guide you can:
- Set up a dashboard with guide metrics, including widgets for the corresponding feature adoption, or
- Navigate to the Guide Metrics area within the guide and add features there
We are continuously working to add OOTB Guide Shared Layouts, and keeping the available Features and Pages tags current to reflect the latest product functionality—so you can consistently track adoption and impact over time.
