We know how much you love your Community badges! They’re proof of your engagement, your expertise, and your genuine commitment to learning alongside your peers. That’s why we are so excited to feature InstructureCon badges for you to collect.

These badges aren't just digital flair; they’re symbols of the stories we’ve told and the connections we’ve made. They remind us that while technology evolves, the heart of our Community (our people) remains the same.

Share your legacy

This is your chance to bridge the gap between your physical lanyard collection and your Community badge display. We are making digital versions of all our past InstructureCon badges available for you to collect.

How does it work? It’s simple—and it’s on the honors system. If you were there in person (or joined us virtually during those unique years of 2020, 2021, and 2022), you’re invited to claim that conference's badge. We trust you to choose the ones that represent your real-life InstructureCon experiences.

How do you claim InstructureCon badges?

Between now and August 1, you can request your badges from any past InstructureCon!

After browsing the collection:

Select the badges for the conferences you attended.
Click the Request This Badge button. *A quick pro-tip: You only need to click the button once. It might not feel like much is happening on your screen, but rest assured, the request is being sent directly to us!
Check your profile. After being awarded, badges will be added to your profile to showcase your InstructureCon history!

Just a quick heads-up: this process involves some manual 'human magic' from the Community Team. We’ll review and fulfill requests on Wednesdays, so thanks for your patience as we help you build your badge collection!

How fun! I love this collection of my digital InstructureCons!

My first InstructureCon was 2016 at Keystone. We had just decided to switch to Canvas, and our team spent an evening comfortably planning our transition in one of our rooms. I was excited to meet people and see presentations from all over the world, and I was impressed to see how other clients were exploring the possibilities of Canvas to support teaching and learning. Plus the view from my room was outstanding!

My first InstCon as a client was SCL the Musical, which if you know me, is apropos. I still remember the catchy song that was played over and over again. Hmmmm, I wonder if anyone still has that song somewhere or maybe it's on spotify 🤣. I made sure to earn every button at that conference. There was a Josh Coates Bingo card (which I still have a photo of), food trucks galore, a Sundance visit to a Yurt where I also got a picture with a TV star, Tyson from Survivor, who was sitting right next to me at dinner.

I was also so impressed with the conference as a whole. No other conference before or after that compared to my experience at InstCon 2015!

Anyone remember that song? Ten points if you can sing any portion of it!

InstructureCon '15 was my first InstructureCon as well! I still remember the incredible buzz of that week as a first-time attendee!! I think it was there that I truly connected with the magic of this Community.

The friendliness of everyone there and the authentic networking created an energy that I’ve carried with me ever since.

It was my first also (and sadly only - it's pretty expensive coming from the UK!) and have such good memories of it. I had forgotten about that song! :D
