Canvas Course Content Migration

We are in the process of migrating few courses from Canvas to Cypher LMS. Most of our courses are having SCORM packages integrated in the course modules.

The SCORM Packages are displayed in the SCORM section/Engine on Canvas. Please refer below screenshot.

They are also linked there in the course structure. Please refer below screenshot.

We saw under the File section as well, but not all files/SCOM are listed there. Also, when we export the course package from Canvas, the SCORM packages uploaded under Canvas SCORM engine are not getting exported in the course package.

Is there any way to export these SCORM packages locally from Canvas LMS? Please we need help from your side regarding this migration.

@Yashawant_G - In Canvas, SCORM packages that are uploaded through the SCORM tool or engine are effectively treated as runtime learning objects, not as standard course files. When a Canvas course is exported, those SCORM packages are not included in the export package, even if they appear linked in modules or visible in the SCORM area of the course. There is no supported way to export those SCORM packages locally from Canvas after the fact.

Because of that limitation, you cannot rely on a Canvas course export to migrate SCORM content into another LMS such as Cypher and expect it to function. To successfully migrate SCORM content, my experience is that the institution or course owner must have access to the original SCORM zip files that were used to create the packages in the first place. These are used to create the content in the new LMS.

That written, you may find a folder in the course Files with the content and be able to download it and then upload elsewhere. I wouldn't expect it though.
