Modernized User Interface (Opt-In Window) [Updated 2026-05-12]
Summary
Districts can opt-in to a modernized Mastery Connect experience featuring rebuilt versions of high-traffic areas: Curriculum Maps, the Assessments page, and Mastery Trackers. This update ensures full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, providing essential accessibility features including full keyboard navigation and improved screen reader support.
Notes:
- During this initial phase, the new features are OFF by default. Districts interested in early access should contact their Customer Success Manager to initiate the request.
- These updates will be on by default for all users beginning on July 1, 2026. Customers may contact their customer success manager if they wish to opt out of this experience.

- Improved User Experience: Rebuilt interfaces make daily workflows feel faster and more intuitive through responsive design adapting to different screen sizes.
- Strengthened District Compliance: Ensures all educators and administrators have accessible tools regardless of how they navigate the platform.
Feature Workflow
Once a district has opted into the experience, educators can click the Assessments tab, Maps tab, or into any of their Trackers in order to see the changes immediately.
Once enabled at the district level, individual users can freely switch between the Legacy View and New View to explore the modernized interface at their own pace. Click the Legacy View link [1] to view the legacy layout or the New View link [2] to return to the update.
