Analytics Metrics and Insights
Learner Engagement Score
Measures how actively recipients interact with badges based on acceptance and sharing behavior.
- Calculated as: ((Acceptance Rate × 0.60) + (Share Rate × 0.40)) × 100
- Based on:
- Acceptance behavior (claiming badges)
- Sharing behavior (distributing badges externally)
- Displayed as a primary KPI tile with:
- A numeric score (0–100)
- A trend indicator (increase or decrease compared to the previous period)
- Contextual comparison based on the selected date range
External Impact Score
Measures how effectively badges generate external visibility per share.
- Calculated as: Total Views ÷ Total Shares
- Displayed as a primary KPI tile with:
- A numeric value representing average views per share
- A trend indicator showing change over time
- Relative comparison to the previous period
Core Metrics
The Analytics workspace includes additional KPI tiles and supporting metrics:
- Badges created
- Badges awarded
- Acceptance rate
- Share rate
- Public visibility rate
Each metric includes:
- An all-time baseline value (displayed in the tile)
- Trend indicators (up or down compared to the selected date range)
- Supporting context such as timing or rate-based calculations
Channel Insight Highlights
The dashboard surfaces key “most used” indicators:
- Most used awarding method
- Most used sharing method
- Most common viewing source
These provide quick visibility into dominant engagement behaviors without requiring chart interaction.
KPI Behavior
- KPI tiles display all-time values
- Filters affect:
- Trend indicators
- Detailed data views
- KPI totals do not change based on filters
Three visual charts displays how badges move through the ecosystem:
- Awarding Methods: Manual, LMS, API, etc.
- Sharing Methods: LinkedIn, URL, embed, and others
- Viewing Sources: Where badges are viewed externally
Notes:
- Channels with 0% are hidden
- Hover over charts to see counts and comparisons
Overall scores are calculated using Learner Engagement (65%) and External Impact (35%). External Impact is normalized relative to the highest-performing badge.
The data table includes badge-level performance metrics, such as awards, shares, views, and scores, along with trend indicators.
