With 2025 now complete, the On Demand Team is thrilled to announce the exciting updates and new offerings introduced in Quarter 4! Our Quarter 4 work included several product enhancements, a new IgniteAI course, and many other exciting developments that we are eager to highlight.

What's New?
Launch of the new Instructure Community
You may have noticed an exciting new look to the Instructure Community! The On-Demand Team is excited about the new look and improved functionality. With this change, most of the Community links in On-Demand Training Portal Courses and Resources should redirect correctly. However, if you do come across a broken link, please send an email including the link and the course it is located in to ondemandtraining@instructure .com.
New Courses
- We are excited to announce the launch of the Canvas Portfolios Unlocked course! This course is intended for Admins and Instructors across K12, Higher Education, and Business/Government sectors, with the goal of mastering the newly available Canvas Portfolio LTI tool. The course focuses on portfolio creation, management, and the utilization of assessment features to monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback.
- The course is available to those with Essential, Standard, or Premium subscriptions to the training portal.
- The On Demand Team is excited to support customers who are using any of the IgniteAI tools available in Canvas! The IgniteAI in Action course is designed as a dynamic resource that will be updated as new features utilizing IgniteAI are released.
- To ensure this course is set up to serve various institutions, each feature is presented as its own standalone module. This allows users to access the content that is relevant to their institution and navigate the course in any order. Additionally, each module provides the opportunity to earn a unique badge upon successful completion, demonstrating understanding of that specific tool.
- The course is available to those with Essential, Standard, or Premium subscriptions to the training portal.
- Users will also find IgniteAI callouts sprinkled throughout several other On-Demand courses. This calls attention to the specific IgniteAI tool right within the applicable content.
Course Updates
Analytics
- In order to reflect the improved user experience of Admin Analytics and the change from New Analytics to Course Analytics, three courses were updated:
- These courses now each have a new badge and cleaner look!
Partnership Courses
- The Respondus Training Course has recently been updated with additional content and information on new features for the Respondus Monitor. The course is a great resource to explore how Respondus and Canvas are better together.
- The course is available to those with Essential, Standard, or Premium subscriptions to the training portal.
- In collaboration with Instructure, Nolej has crafted an engaging Partnership Training Course to equip instructors and administrators with the knowledge and skills to leverage Nolej's unique features, making learning creation simple, engaging, and accessible.
- The course will be available in early Q1 to those with Essential, Standard, or Premium subscriptions to the training portal.

- We have expanded the available Mastery Connect webinars with 9 new topics! Preview the full listing of webinars on the resource linked above.

Updates & New Content: What's Next?
Here is a look at what we have on deck for Quarter 1, 2026:
- Parchment Digital Badges Academy Course: This course refresh reflects several product updates and the rebrand from Canvas Credentials to Parchment Digital Badges. This course is a standalone purchase and is separate from the portal subscription. Lookout for this course update in early January 2026.
- Canvas Career For Scalable Learning: This course introduces Canvas Career, the AI-first LMS for continuing education, business, non-profit, and government sectors. You will learn how Canvas Career helps organizations adapt to workforce needs by focusing on measurable, skill-based outcomes, often replacing or supplementing traditional degrees.
- Creating Online Programs with Canvas Course: This course explores Instructure's ecosystem features, products, and processes for scalable, trackable, and professional online learning across various organizations. Examples for Higher Education, Business, and Government illustrate Canvas tools' flexibility for uses like complex university programs, compliance training, or workforce development.
- Course Design Improvements: Look for courses that are getting an exciting refresh! From rebranding courses to new badges, keep an eye out!
