Why so many clicks to upload a file?

I appreciate the speed improvement for uploading files in Speedgrader that happened this fall, since I use video feedback on almost all my assignments. On the other hand, it now takes FIVE clicks just to upload a file, several of which seem repetitive.

1. Click the paper clip
2. Then "Choose File" (couldn't I go right from the paperclip to the file choosing?)
3. Then I select a file
4. Then I choose "Open"
5. Then I have to hit SUBMIT (again, couldn't those two steps be combined?)

It may seem trivial, but I can't tell you how many times I've been sitting and waiting, only to realize I have yet another click before it uploads.

It used to be much more efficient, would love to see this updated.

@RJMcCombs I could maybe imagine steps 1 and 2 being combined, but 3-5 seem like the traditional steps when attaching a file to a communication (in this case, a comment on an assignment). Submit has to be separate because you may be entering text for the comment as well, so it can't send before that is verified by clicking submit.

I could see a drag and drop option being a nice addition to expedite file addition. Or even the ability to bulk upload attachments via a csv or something like that. I could see how having to go through five clicks on every submission would be tedious if you had a bunch of students.
