Is there a way to access Canvas through API or RSS type method we could use to post emergency announ

Just wondering what other schools are doing to allow others to post an announcement automatically when they put the same announcement into LiveSafe or other emergency notification system. The suggestion was RSS (maybe because that's what LiveSafe uses), but I'm guessing this would have to be an API. Does anyone know?

It depends entirely on your third party does livesafe have an RSS feed page do they maintain an API to acces the information?
If not maybe you have in house devs or someone that can set up a webhook to fetch the data from the livesafe communication and feed it into the the endpoint on canvas side announcements...

livesafe rss does not exist
=> tell livesave to provide you with rss page, develop in house, or abandon hope

I am sorry I cannot be of much help at this time w/limited knowledge of livesafe, I don't see their documentation anywhere ...
