ELA uploading document but want students to type in answer

Question

I am uploading a document into mastery connect that has multiple choice and short response questions. My students are able to answer the multiple choice but are unable to type in their answer. Is there a way so my students can take the full test on the computer when it is a document based test not from the item bank?

Hello! Unfortunately, if it is a document based assessment, the assessment is an external source so there is not a way for students to type their responses. For a document based only Multiple choice and true and false can be graded by the system. For students to be able to write in their responses, it does have to be created as an item.
