From the launch of our Mastery Connect Premium Subscription to brand-new courses, revamped webinars, and updated classics, there’s plenty to explore. About our Services
If you’re unfamiliar with the On-Demand Training Portal, don’t worry! This interactive resource highlights key features and resources to help maximize Canvas usage at your institution. Select the icons next to each topic on the ThingLink to learn more about the On-Demand Training Portal. What's New?
New Mastery Connect Training Portal
The On-Demand team is happy to announce the launch of the Mastery Connect On-Demand Training Portal. This portal currently offers Free, Standard, and Premium Subscriptions.
- The Free subscription includes an introductory course.
- The Standard subscription includes the Getting Started with Mastery Connect course.
- The Premium subscription includes the Getting Started with Mastery Connect course AND live webinar trainings!
We’ve also made updates to the Mastery Connect Online PD Course. With the major updates that were released in July, the newly updated course reflects the new Tracker creation workflow, updated Admin Analytics, and the new Item Bank experience to ensure that teachers and administrators have the most up to date information.

Feature Drop
- Stay in the know, even on the go! Our new Feature Drop Course houses recorded "What’s New in Canvas?" webinars, giving you the flexibility to learn about the latest features and updates whenever it works for you.
Live Playback +
- We heard the ask! You want to catch those live webinars but your schedule just won't allow it. Good news! Premium subscribers now have access to Live Playback+! We'll be recording select monthly Live Webinars and making them available in a dedicated course within the On-Demand Training Portal, so you can still access that valuable content, even if you can't attend live.
Ask a Training Expert
- Do you have a question about Canvas or Mastery Connect and want to ask an expert? Well, never fear, Ask a Training Expert is here! These 60-minute group sessions are perfect for instructors, course designers, coaches, or Canvas/MC Admins who want guidance on tool tips, product usage, and best practices for course and assessment design. These are separate offerings that can be found in their respective training portals.
We’ve also launched two new product courses! These product courses are purchased separately from portal subscriptions, so even those without a subscription have the opportunity to purchase these courses.
Intelligent Insights
- The Intelligent Insights: From Data to Action course provides a comprehensive overview of Intelligent Insights in Canvas, a powerful tool that leverages AI and advanced analytics to provide educators and administrators with data-driven insights to improve student success, course effectiveness, and LTI usage.
LearnPlatform
- EdTech Insights With LearnPlatform is designed to provide insights into educational technology using the LearnPlatform tool. Participants will learn how to leverage data and analytics to understand tool adoption and gain valuable insights. The course aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize LearnPlatform for administrative purposes and data-driven decision making.
We’ve made some important updates to the following courses:
Impact Course
- The Impact Academy course was updated to reflect exciting UI changes and highlights the new Inline Editor. We’ve also added additional Hands-On Activities and Knowledge Checks to improve the learning experience.
Canvas Teacher App iOS and Android (K12 & HED)
- Both the iOS and Android versions of these courses got a major overhaul! The updates reflect UI changes and exciting improvements made to SpeedGrader. With how big these updates are, we are also offering the opportunity to earn new badges.
Passport to Canvas
- Navigating Canvas for the first time can be a challenge. Since 2019, the Passport to Canvas course has been the essential guide for new users. We’ve updated the course to make your journey even smoother! Explore the latest changes, including embedded videos and refreshed content, and see how this valuable resource can help you navigate Canvas with confidence.
Partnerships
The On-Demand team is excited to partner with ReadSpeaker to publish a course on their integration with Canvas, Reimagine Learning with ReadSpeaker. This course will introduce you to text to speech, how it works, and ReadSpeaker's role in providing a more inclusive, accessible and engaging learning environment. More than simply text to speech, ReadSpeaker offers a comprehensive suite of audio-enabled learning tools to support students with varying needs. This course will introduce the learner to the benefits of audio support for students and how ReadSpeaker products foster greater academic success. Through this course, one will achieve a better understanding of how transformative voice can be for students and why every student should have access to text to speech and audio-enhanced learning tools.
Webinars
Level up your Canvas skills with freshly expanded webinars designed to meet you right where you teach! Stay on top of Canvas updates with the new What’s New in Canvas? webinar. This webinar is offered twice a week and allows Canvas users to get a better understanding of the product updates The Gradebook and SpeedGrader webinar now offers both Beginner and Intermediate levels. Additionally, the Outcomes & Rubrics webinar has been separated into two distinct sessions: one tailored for Higher Education Instructors and another for K12.

- Catalog: New updates are underway and set to launch in October—stay tuned for a freshened up course experience.
- Mastery Connect: New intermediate and advanced webinars (plus a few brand-new courses) are on the way to help you keep leveling up.
- Portfolio: A dedicated portal course is joining the lineup to make getting started with the new Canvas Portfolio feature even easier.
- Business/Government: A brand-new course tailored specifically for our business and government users is in the works.
- Canvas Career: A brand-new course will begin development showcasing our next-generation LMS for businesses, governments, and continuing-education programs—designed to remove barriers to upskilling and drive career growth.
