View Only Permission

There needs to be a view tags permission added. We have users who are making tags based on TAs, and without add/delete/manage enabled for that role, they can't see the tags. Is this something we can get added? We're looking at providing at least one of the permissions in the meantime, but we'd rather they not have any edit ability. Thanks!

Hi @James-Kocher, We don't currently have plans to add another setting but I think this touches on an interesting use case. I'll start tracking this as something to prioritize. Would it also help to be able to add the TA to the Tag?

I've mentioned this before but should be optional visibility levels for tags. Student hidden tags limit the usefulness.

Each tag or tag set should allow:

- Instructor view only (current)

- view self tags (so students can check if they are on the correct tag)

- view common tags (so students can work with other tagged students on projects etc)

- view all tags -- so students can see other teams/groups for collaboration and cross-tag collaboration.

@SamGarza1 Agreed. Some Teachers will want TAs to be able to use the tags, even if they do not want them to have the power to add/delete/manage.
