Description
As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, online learning institutions must proactively address both its challenges and opportunities. Over the past 18 months, Montana Digital Academy (MTDA) has developed a comprehensive approach to AI use in student learning, balancing innovation with academic integrity. This session explores MTDA’s evolving AI strategy, including the implementation of technology safeguards, student education initiatives, and assessment redesign. Key components include the piloting of the Respondus LockDown Browser, integration of AI-powered learning tools, and the development of ethical AI-use guidelines for students and educators. The presentation highlights MTDA’s phased plan to ensure AI supports—not supplants—student learning.
Attendees will gain insights into a scalable model for AI integration that fosters responsible use, protects academic integrity, and enhances student engagement in the digital learning landscape.
