Description
The purpose of digital accessibility is to ensure that digital products, tools, and content—such as websites, mobile apps, documents, and multimedia—are usable and inclusive for everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities. Digital accessibility aims to eliminate barriers and provide equal access to information, opportunities, and experiences in the digital world. Participants will be able to view examples of both accessible content and content that is not accessible. They will leave the session with the knowledge and resources to begin building accessible digital content. They will also gain the skills needed to review websites and platforms for accessibility to determine if they should be used in the classroom.
