Hi @heather_monti! Great questions!
We’ve made some small experience updates with Enhanced Rubrics:
Comment Library: You can access the comment library in SpeedGrader by clicking the small icon above the submission comments box. From there, you can create new comments or insert existing ones into the assignment.
Removing Points from Rubrics: To remove points, open the rubric editor and either select the “Unscored” option or choose “Hide total points from students” depending on your preferred experience.
Let us know if you need help finding these settings or have more feedback!
@heather_monti Got it, thanks for clarifying. You are correct, the Comment Library is available for individual rubric criteria when you're using written feedback (such as text-only, unscored criteria). However, when you're grading on a scale (such as using rating levels to assign points), the Comment Library is not currently available within each criterion.
This is due to the different interaction models: rating-based criteria are designed for quick point selection, while written feedback supports more open-ended responses, which is where the Comment Library is integrated.
We know this is a limitation for instructors who want to reuse comments while still using scored rubrics, and it’s something we’re actively considering for future iterations. Really appreciate you surfacing this!
