At Orbis, we had Canvas build us a custom report about 10 years ago called "Assessment Data", some of you may be using it as well. We use Assessment Data, Grade Export, Last User Access, and Zero Activity to create our student at a glance for our student success coaches. We grab each of those from the API several times a day for each instance and load them into our SQL cluster to manipulate and link the data as needed. We report on both overall grades and exams, with different views so coaches can look by course or by student. There is also a simple passing/failing table that can be viewed, so deans and program directors can see how things are going as a whole. We also let coaches know any student that hasn't logged in within the past 72 hours so that they can follow up and see if there is something going on.

We use these same reports to keep historical data at the end of each semester. This helps tell us what courses may need to be redeveloped and it helps us track things like how new exams are preforming against previous years'.
