Canvas API - can we post announcemets that include a deep link to LTI app?

Hi, we have an LTI app with course navigation placement. I want to clarify is it possible to post an announcement in a course via Canvas API which includes a link that once clicked it navigates to the LTI app in the course navigation placement? If yes, I'd like an example.
