Standard Updates:

 

Publication Changes, Subject Change, and Document Moves for Texas Career and Technical Education and Career Development

 

Texas originally placed all of their CTE subchapters into a single chapter: TEKS Career and Technical Education. Recently, however, they renamed their old Career Development chapter to Career Development and Career and Technical Education, and then they placed some of the CTE subchapters into the renamed chapter. 

 

To reflect how those changes appear on TEA’s website, we made the changes outlined below.

 

How will this change impact the standards data?

 

Publication Name Change

The existing CTE publication (GUID: 9751E79A-D656-11DE-9B89-99669DFF4B22) has had the following title change:

• Old Title: TEKS Career and Technical Education

• New Title: Chapter 130: TEKS Career and Technical Education

 

New Publication

We created a new publication titled Chapter 127: Career Development and Career and Technical Education.

Subject Change

Subchapter O. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (2015 r2022) originally had a subject of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math. It now has a subject of STEM Occupations.
